In Mariners Kids Online Small Groups, Kindergarten-5th graders can interact with other kids and a caring leader, answer some Bible questions, and have some fun! This is an easy, fun and important way your child can stay connected in community! Online Small Groups will take place through a video chat for 25 minutes on the weekend. They will start immediately after a weekend service (online). So for example, if your child signs up/regularly attends the 8:30a service, then the small group will start at 9:45a. Once a child is signed up, parents will be contacted by your child’s small group leader.

Inspire kids to follow Jesus and fearlessly change the world.

We want your kids to feel safe and have fun. With music, games, activities and storytelling kids learn about God’s love every week. We end each service with age-appropriate Small Groups where kids can grow in their relationship with God and connect with their peers and leaders at a deeper level.

We provide resources so you can enjoy the service without worry. Our computerized check-in/check-out systems save time, increase classroom security and provide easy access to families attending our church. Parents with infants have the option of watching the service from our New Parents room at the back of the Auditorium, with an attached Nursing Moms room for added privacy.

Build spiritually strong Christ-centered families and equip them to become servant leaders in our community.

  • Safe: Our ministry must be physically and emotionally safe
  • Relevant: We want to reach today’s kids with real-life application
  • Creative: We want the Bible to come to life to children
  • Relationships: We want kids to be intentionally shepherded by loving volunteers
  • Fun: We want kids to come back at every opportunity

Parent/Child Dedication

Parent/Child Dedication is a commitment for parents to raise their child in the ways of the Lord. During the Parent/Child Dedication, parents are provided the opportunity to make a public declaration to raise their children(ren) in a Christ-centered home and do all they can to lead their kids to know and believe the gospel. The church community is part of this celebration and is asked to commit to support and partner with these parents in their calling. At Mariners, we view dedication not as a statement of salvation for a child, but rather a statement of how parents will raise their child(ren). While not a command of scripture, Parent/Child Dedication is a symbol of a parent’s desire to obediently raise their child(ren) in the knowledge and instruction of the Lord.

Gifted and caring volunteers bring the message of Jesus to life while connecting with others as they serve. Adults and students are placed as volunteers based on gifts and availability. They serve passionately to make a difference in the lives of our kids. We also invite parents to serve with Mariners Kids because we believe it’s important for parents to model serving and invest in the lives of the future generation.

We believe serving is a great way for our students to live out their faith by seeing and meeting the needs of others! We get to join together and put God’s words into action by being the loving neighbors we are called to be. We have conversations, build relationships and show others that God knows them and love them! Our serve events always fill up because students realize they can love and serve others and have a blast doing it!

If you are a high school student or adult who is excited about helping junior high students develop their own AUTHENTIC FAITH in Jesus and equip them to fearlessly CHANGE THE WORLD, we’d love to have you serve in JHM! There are volunteer opportunities with our Weekend Experience, First Friday, Life Groups, Camps, Serve Opportunities and more.
