"I have loved seeing our interns be actual team members with full responsibilities. This has given them great ownership and is beneficial for both the church and the individual."

Dominik Michalzik
Worship Pastor

"Weekly intern meetings gives them a “home base” and team to go back to, regardless of which department they’re in. I think our staff has done a great job treating the interns just like anyone else on the team, so maintaining that culture will be important."

Monica Bannister

" I like how we’ve been able to make the interns feel like they are a part of the team. They’re not here for labor and to make our lives easier, they’re here to better the team. I believe that can empower and inspire them to use their skills and gifts."

Jose Moreno-Rivas

Denise A Banks-Taylor

I was in a shelter in Anaheim ,Grandmas House of Hope, going through chemotherapy for Breast cancer in February 2011.The shelter director Jen'et Keitner asked a group of residents if we would like to have a bible study named Rooted from Irvine Mariners Church come to the shelter. We all agreed . That was my beginning of accepting Jesus as my personal savior and getting baptized. I understood that with that commitment I had to be all in. I am dedicated to following the word of God, being lead by the Holy Spirit, and loving my neighbors. With that said , I prayed and asked God if this was his will for me to join this committee and my answer was " It is an honor to serve God in this way"..so here I am at your service.
